"Without Excuse" [Paperback] Werner Gitt (Author) →
Just read this. Worthwhile scientific apologetics for those of faith. Some great illistrations. The basic idea is that information demands an intelligent observer, (similar conlusion that quantum physics is bringing us to.), I love the proposal that DNA code should be the standard for information density. (the period before this could contain complete gene sequencing for 5,000 people as an...
Skull Study Casts Doubt on Evolutionary Timeline →
Remember the folks who claim the timeline is infallible? Yeah..well…that fussy “Selection” favouring things and mussing about, right?
What they are finding is that evolved skulls would require evolved bodies, but the fossil record does not contain them together. The few artifacts they have found are deformed aberrations instead of the hundreds of transitionary fossils you would...

Anonymous asked: i feel that flexibility in science is what makes it so grand. we are able to change theories and mold them. okay, so carbon dating. we have a way to test our own earth. i feel that even if theories are flexible, something like carbon dating isn't. i'm not challenging you to disprove, i'm just asking questions to understand. If we have a testable way to say that the earth is older...
The extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the...
– Stephen Gould “Evolution’s Erratic Pace” 1977
The lack of transitional forms from one species to another birthed the theory of punctuated equilibrium. Unfortunately there is still no empirical evidence of rapid transition of one species to another.
Anonymous asked: hello there. i am inviting dialogue here. Big evolution buff. but i did want to know why you think we are drifting further from the theory? i thought it was always elegant in its flexibilty, however you see it differently. Also, what are the...tenants?...specifications? bullet points if you will of the theory you are talking about? thanks!

I don't think macroevolution is scientific
fringeelements:
Neither is math, but we still use that. Macroevolution isn’t unscientific, it’s non-scientific.
Now I’m going by a definition of science that says something must be observable, testable, repeatable, and falsifiable to be science.
There are lots of fossils with lots of transitional forms, and IIRC there’s even a way to trace DNA mutations back to earlier life forms.
However,...

It isn’t that there aren’t educated Republicans who understand evolution, and it isn’t even that they’re a minority within their party—although they are (according to Gallup, 52 percent of Republicans think God created humans in our present form less than 10,000 years ago). It’s that none of…

– The Science Center: Here is why Evolution Theory will be debunked
I am deluded. Well there is a sensible argument. I also find it humorous that instead of inviting dialogue and interest in science of all perspectives, SC, invites you to listen to only his narrow view.
Genetics is a code. The code...

No, your face is a logical fallacy! →
I think some of the arguments about arguments in this ‘how to’ are valid. (meta as that may be.) However, the same can be said for both sides. I do take issue with one of the repeated suggestions on how to counter these “falacies”: each one suggests that one should “demand” from the other as a solution. In my opinion “demanding” will only terminate...

Here is why Evolution Theory will be debunked:
It is an attempt to explain what we can not. Instead of a clear scientific definition of how the world works, it is a vague, constantly changing, and severely flawed theory. As we gain more knowledge in both quantum physics and genetics we grow farther from this solution instead of closer.
Science is teaching us what priest and shaman told us all along.

Excellent science & cool story bro’.
My only complaints:
1. Notice no explanation of how 10 million years was arrived at? (It is based on the geological data, which is based on the biological data, which is based on a guess, which is why we keep coming up with surprises. Young earth surprises.
2. The story isn’t about “butterfly evolution” it is about butterfly...

The 30,000-Year-Old Cave That Descends Into Hell
“There’s a cave in France where no humans have been in 26,000 years. The walls are full of fantastic, perfectly-preserved paintings of animals, ending in a chamber full of monsters 1312-feet underground, where CO2 and radon gas concentrations provoke hallucinations.

Australian lizards on verge of evolutionary leap -... →
braincraft:
A variety of Australian skink - like snake but with four tiny legs - is slowly starting abandon egg laying and beginning to give birth to live offspring like a mammal does.
As the story points out clearly at the end of this confusing article this is commonplace adaptability, not an observable example of evolution at work. Were evolution more than a theory, hundreds if not...
